VICTORIA BATHS

HISTORY

When it opened in 1906, Victoria Baths was described as
“the most splendid municipal bathing institution in the country” and “a water palace of which every citizen of Manchester can be proud.”

the Edwardian building used some of the highest quality materials and after extensive restoration work, many of the period decorative features remain today, including stained glass, tiles, and mosaic floors.

PARKING

an enclosed car park is available at the back of the building THROUGH GATES, HOWEVER IT IS limited in spaces. we’d like to encourage the use of public transport so you can enjoy the day without worrying about designated drivers.

please do not park down the side of the building AS THESE SPACES BELONG TO A HOSPITAL AND YOU MAY INCUR A PARKING FINE. on your heads be it.
